How to make South Indian arehome made Rasam powder

Preparation time: Around 20 Minutes

Recipe Type: Instant mix

Ingredients:
Toor dal : 1 Cup
Chana dal: 1/2 Cup
Coriander Seeds: 1/2 Cup
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) : 4 Table spoons
Fenugreek Seeds (Methi) : 1 Table Spoon
Black Pepper : 4 Table spoons
Dried Red Chilli : 12 - 18 
Curry Leaves : 1 Cup

Preparation:

  • Preheat pan and add 1 cup of toor dal into the pan and fry them till it become little brown in color, once toor dal becomes little brown keep it aside
  • Add 1/2 cup of chana dal and do the same the process, once chana dal turns little brown keep it aside
  • Now add coriander seeds and fry them till they are crackle, once it is done keep them aside
  • Now add fenugreek seeds, Cumin seeds & Black pepper into the pan and fry them till they crackle, once it is done keep them aside
  • Now add red chilli and fry them, once they are fried keep them aside
  • Add curry leaves and fry them till the leaves become crispy and dried, once it is done
  • add all the ingredients into the pan and add 1/2 table spoon hing(Asafoetida) and fry all the ingredients for about 2 minutes in medium flame
  • Once all the ingredients become cool, add them into the blender and grind them till they become fine and very smooth powder
